VIDEO: The Day-Of-Wedding Video shown during the reception

This day-of the wedding video was put together by the amazing videographer Daniel Boswell of DB Imagery. Make sure to check his website. Daniel not only filmed the entire wedding but he cut and edited this video on the same day as it was the last video shown for the night before dancing. Amazing how in just a matter of hours he was able to cut and edit this as he left the guests speechless including a couple people left in tears. It was the perfect way to end a fantastic night. Props to Daniel for this.

VIDEO: Our Wedding Entrance singing “Nothing’s Gonna Stop Us”

Here is the complete video of Vivian and I singing “Nothing’s Gonna Stop Us” for our wedding entrance to the reception. Yes I know it’s super cheesy but we had a great time doing it. Props to Michelle Woo for the video.

Background: It’s no secret that Spencer & Viv can be a cheesy, fun couple. They both wanted to make their wedding party entrance unique and it seemed like every type of choreographed dance had been done before. Forget the dancing they thought…they wanted to do something entirely different.

The song “Nothing’s Gonna Stop Us” was always a song that Spencer & Viv loved to sing during random Karaoke nights…and so the idea was born…”Let’s sing this song as our entrance!” After a lot of practice and a lot of Spencer convincing Viv to do it this was the result.

VIDEO: Spivian Origins - Cartoon of How We Met

For our guests you know we had a plethora (a plethora?) of videos playing on the plasma TVs throughout the wedding reception. Many of you requested to have these posted so here is the first….Spivian Origins - the animated cartoon of how Viv and Spencer first met.

Once again big props to the animation sensation / storyboard artist guru Seijin for making this happen. Hope you guys like it!

Background: Viv and Spencer met under very unusual circumstances. Rather than tell the story AGAIN of how they met, they wanted to do it in a unique creative way. “Let’s tell our story in a cartoon!” Spencer said. Viv had her doubts but with the help of Spencer’s friend Seijin, a professional film story board artist, they were able to see their vision come true.

While the video is only 6 minutes long, any animator or artist knows the amount it took to make this. Easily over two months of hard work from Seijin. First we (Spencer & Viv) wrote out a script including scene selections and dialogue, met with Seijin to go over shot selection, gave him photos from the night as reference, worked and reworked shots, music and background noise….then once all still art was final, Seijin animated certain sequences…finally we went to their animation studio to do the voice over. All in all it was a fantastic and VERY fun experience. Thanks Seijin for making this happen!

VIDEO: B-boy battle breaks out on the dance floor

I don’t think many involved in this mini b-boy battle remember it due to the large amounts of alocholic beverages consumed. It’s been many years since the groom hit the b-boy stance but he was able to pull off a couple of moves on the dance floor. I believe this is Lorenzo, Matt, Spencer and then Lo again tearing it up.

We did it! We are now officially Spencer & Vivian Lee-Yee. Ok ok….Spencer & Vivian Yee. Thanks to all who came out and attended yesterday’s wedding! We hope everyone had as much fun as we did! Considering the number of drunk people dancing and later passed out…it seems like you all had a great time!

So what’s next for Spivian.com? Well we had MANY requests for certain videos to be shared so you can expect the “performance” videos as well as the animated Spivian Origins cartoon, Marrs Attacks intro, the day-of Video and of course any other key memorable moments from the night.

Also, as promised we will be posting all the pics from the red carpet entrance as well so look out for that soon!

A big thanks to all our kick-ass vendors who did such a great job and the staff at Cicada including Ray, Suzay and Adelmo. Big props to our vendors for making yesterday the best day of our lives happen…everything ran just as planned and was flawless! The bride and groom had VERY ambitious production plans and timing involved and it all worked out!

The wedding of Spivian will be located at the famed Cicada in Downtown Los Angeles. Cicada has hosted numerous Hollywood events and has been featured in movies from Pretty Woman to Mr. & Mrs. Smith and even the Jonas Brothers’ latest music video.

(Los Angeles Times) It doesn’t get much more glamorous than this in L.A. Located in the historic Oviatt Building, Cicada occupies what was once a haberdashery with a design inspired by 1920’s Art Deco. The 30-foot ceilings, supported by soaring hand-carved maple columns, are etched in gold leaf, while a mezzanine level is lined with colorful murals. Also upstairs is a swanky bar whose sofas and leather club chairs invite guests to relax with a cocktail before dinner. Cicada is also home to numerous private parties and weddings for Hollywood celebrities along with movie and television studio events throughout the year.
